Memorial Day - Part One

"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation."
- George Washington

Memorial Day was a wonderful day for honoring our fallen soldiers. We were walking in the parade for Relay for Life - to raise awareness of cancer and the actual event on June 20th! I think the kids realized that they would rather be on the receiving end of the candy than the ones throwing it out. It was fun nevertheless!
In the picture series below, you'll see us waiting with the banner to get started, looking into downtown along the parade route, and Holden, Zach, and Emily waving their flags after they had thrown all the candy out at the halfway point! Oops!
Our parade has an extremely long line of amazing vintage cars - I know there are many car clubs in the area. I have no idea what the middle one is - anyone know??
