So this game was a little more defensive than last weekend's! They, the Lions, got killed - roughly 0-10 - I lost count once we hit double digits. One of the kids from the other team kept slide tackling our kids. It was making me a little angry since they were literally taking our kids out left and right. I don't think you should slide tackle in preschool soccer - at this age kids don't do it properly.
This video is where Emily had a couple of shots on goal but she is so hesitant when she gets up there - like she is planning how to get around the defender and while she thinks, they kick the ball away. She is persistent though~
She is doing such a great job on defense - she definitely keeps after the ball - knows how to turn it down field and go! (by the way - we let the kids keep playing even if it is out of bounds) Too bad she hesitated again!
She has some fast legs in this video - she gets down field just in time to tap the ball away from the other team.
