Today it almost felt like spring, almost. It was a beautiful 50+ degree day. Emily was eating her raspberries like she usually does in the summer - on all ten fingers. She does this every time we go to the farmers market in Ann Arbor. I can't wait for those warm days. I know this weekend's weather is just a tease! Emily also picked out her new goggles and swim cap, which she wore home from the store. Just envision a little girl in her black and red dress, with patent leather shoes, wearing a hot pink swim cap and hot pink goggles. It was a funny sight to say the least. But that is typical Emily fashion. She also thought this was a good idea to wear over to our friend's house tonight and needless to say they loved her "fashion statement."
Earlier today, the kids played outside for a long time. We took out the bikes, scooters, and baseball bats. I loved the smell of the warm air that was melting all of our snow!! I had forgotten what our yard looked like. Ben didn't want to come in the house. He would have been happy if he went on a five hour bike ride. Emily told me, very matter-of-factly, that she wants her training wheels off this spring. Apparently there are no questions asked about that!
