Well, I am pretty sure the terrible twos are only now hitting Ben. He is such a sweetie, a little lovey boy, but he sure does know how to test me. He will whine and ask the same question 17 times until he has what he is asking for placed into his hands. UGH. This evening, he was running around like a little animal with two balloons hugged tightly to his chest. The purpose of the balloons was to cushion and rebound himself off of every wall and furniture item that he purposely ran into. He is a little animal! We love him to death. He loves cuddling in the morning and after naps. He is our baby and I hope he won't give that cuddling up for a long time! We have also found that he has extreme concentration when it comes to sports. This is practically the only instance where he has patience and can wait his turn. One of our friends actually couldn't get over how focused he was at a bowling alley...he stood and stared and only blinked when he was told to...not joking. Most of the other kids were dropping balls left and right and running onto the lanes - but not Ben - he was in the zone! On the other hand, Ben has no concentration on potty training. With time he'll be interested again. We'll see - I dream that he'll wake up one day and say - NO DIAPERS MOMMA! And that will be the end of it.
In this picture below, Ben opened his new book, The Giving Tree. When he opened it up, he saw the picture of Shel Silverstein and exclaimed, "I got a MAN!" Instead of, "I got a book!"
